“Bring Down The Sky” Coming To PC Mass Effect

And You Can’t Beat The Price

by Veggie Jackson

It's pretty much agreed upon that in comparison to the PC version, the Xbox 360 version of Mass Effect has an inferior HUD, driving system and inventory system.  The only advantage the console version has, in fact, is the downloadable “Bring Down the Sky” expansion.  Well, that all changes right now, as BioWare has announced that the previously console-exclusive DLC is now available for the PC.  Good news for PC devotees, to be sure.  Even better news is that unlike the 360’s DLC, the PC version will be free of charge.

As much as I loved the game, I thought the DLC portion felt a bit tacked-on and unfinished.  I played through it, of course, because I’m a sucker for DLC, but now I feel doubly ripped off.  If only I had waited for the PC version, then waited even longer for this announcement.  Oh, I also would have had to buy a new computer, so I guess I did save money in the long run (about 10-15000 Microsoft points, last I checked).
