"New" The Force Unleashed DLC Hits Consoles
"New" If You Don't Already Have It

Yesterday, PS3 owners found a new piece of DLC on the PSN; the Hoth Mission Pack for Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. Priced at $9.99, the mission pack continues the non-canonical side story that began in the Tatooine DLC pack, offering the Apprentice a chance to wipe out the Rebel alliance and square off with the man himself, Luke Skywalker. Today, we learned that Xbox 360 owners will have the same opportunity on Tuesday, February 23.
Presumably, the Xbox 360 version should cost 800
, the equivalent of $10 in real money, and offer the same exact content as the PS3 edition. It should also be noted that this DLC pack is already included in the Ultimate Sith Edition of The Force Unleashed, making the content a little less than new.
Setting Star Wars games in non-canonical, “Infinities” timelines like this opens up the game for story and gameplay possibilities that wouldn’t otherwise be doable. That said, the best part of The Force Unleashed (possibly after flinging Wookies) was the story, which was masterfully intertwined with existing continuity and managed to be both impactful and memorable, but still perfectly tailored to the gameplay. As much as we want to play in a wide-open Star Wars-themed sandbox, we also want to play in THE Star Wars Universe, continuity headaches and all.

well if this isn't timely, i don't know what is.
It's a great DLC, and worth the download, but lordy, the voice actor for Luke is one of the worst I've ever heard.
