Those awesome pieces of concept art for Disney’s as-of-yet-unannounced now have some context, as CVG has uncovered details about Mickey’s steampunk adventure, "Epic Mickey."

First off, we now know for sure that the project is indeed called “Epic Mickey,” and that it will be exclusively on the Wii.  As far as gameplay, CVG has learned that players will “paint your way” through levels, drawing, etching and erasing sections of the game’s environments.  Finally, the plot of the game revolves around lesser-known or forgotten Disney characters who are out for revenge on the rich and famous Mickey.

The details were provided by “a source who wishes to remain anonymous,” meaning these details aren’t 100% confirmed, but the gameplay concept matches up with the image of the large paint thinner silo, so, for now, we have no reason not to believe it.   I can’t wait to fend off waves of obscure Disney characters like Clarabelle Cow and Horace Horsecollar, but I’m hoping the game doesn’t focus entirely on Mickey.  After all, it’s really all about Donald Duck.
