Akuma, Taskmaster Join Marvel Vs. Capcom 3

More Guys In Clothes Normal People Would Never Wear

by Veggie Jackson

With less than a month to go until the release of Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, Capcom has revealed trailers for the newest fighters to join the fray.  Marvel’s Taskmaster and Capcom’s Akuma will bring their villainy to the fight when the game launches on February 15.

Taskmaster is a relatively obscure Marvel villain with a ridiculously awesome costume and “Photographic Reflexes,” the ability to mimic any physical action he sees performed.  This makes him a perfect Shang Tsung-type character who can utilize moves from multiple characters.  His use of Spider-Man’s “Spidey Swing” and Captain America’s “Stars And Stripes” in the video, along with his reference to the Black Knight after his sword finisher, are evidence of that.  Akuma, of course, is the A#1 bad-ass from the Street Fighter series with jacked up versions of Ryu and Ken’s moves, and the ability to wear giant balls around his neck and make it work.

With 34 regular characters announced, along with two DLC characters who will be available shortly after the game’s release, we’re nearing the end of the MvC3 roster.  Who else do you want to see beating the ever-loving crap out of each other?  Mega Man, anyone?
