The trailer for Batman: Arkham City wasn’t exactly what we were hoping for, but it was still easily classified as “bad-ass.”  While gamers hoped for actual, in-game footage, we instead were treated to a brilliantly crafted pre-rendered cinematic sequence where Batman beats the holy hell out of a group of well-armed henchmen.  We also get an interesting reveal of one of the game’s villains, as well as some secret knowledge he has that will make him an even more formidable opponent.

Not sure how Batman keeping his identity a secret will play out in the game, but it appears to be a major part of the game’s plot.  So while we didn’t get the in-game co-op action footage we were hoping for, we at least got some new questions to ponder until the game arrives in Autumn 2011.
