Brett Ratner Off God of War Movie
And There Was Much Rejoicing

He has faced Minotaurs, Medusa, the Hydra, Icarus, Perseus, and even the mighty Zeus, and he has always prevailed in his own, inimitable, blood-soaked style. Now it seems that Kratos, hero of the wildly popular God of War series, my have defeated his deadliest opponent yet; Brett Ratner. The director, who announced back in September that he’d be helming a God of War movie, has bowed out of the project.
Instead of ruining the God of War franchise, Ratner has opted to pursue a project entitled Trump Heist, starring Chris Tucker and Eddie Murphy as Trump Tower employees who rob hotel guests of their possessions and you of 2 hours of your life. To be honest, this sounds a lot more like Ratner’s bag than an epic, mythological story of immortal vengeance; along the lines of Rush Hour, rather than X3: The Last Stand. Besides, we don’t really care what you do to Eddie Murphy and Chris Tucker’s characters; just leave Kratos out of it.
No one has yet stepped up to take the reins of the project, but it seems inevitable that, one way or another, there will eventually be a God of War movie. Here’s hoping that Universal Studios finds someone who can handle such a daunting project.

THANK. GOD.
Anyone else afraid that both Brett Ratner and the Youngbloods movie will ruin comic book movies like they ruined comic books in the 90s?
@Dominic: Brett Ratner will ruin anything he touches.
The fact that a photo of Kratos smiling didn't exist before now, makes me happy.
Also fuck Brett Ratner...
