Capcom Reveals X-23 for Marvel Vs. Capcom 3
Perfect Replacement for Bone Claw Wolverine
Capcom has revealed yet another playable fighter for their upcoming 2.5D brawler, Marvel Vs. Capcom 3, and this time, it’s a relatively new addition to the Marvel universe. Wolverine’s test-tube “daughter,” X-23, will bare her claws alongside her genetic “dad.”
Introduced in 2004’s NYX #3, X-23 represents a top-secret government program’s only successful attempt to clone Wolverine. Being a genetic duplicate of the famous mutant wild man, X-23, also known as Laura Kinney, shares all of Wolverine’s natural abilities, but lacks his unbreakable adamantium skeleton. She makes up for it, however, by having two bone claws protruding from her feet. She also has boobs.
It’s nice to see a newer Marvel character make the cut, and while X-23 may seem like little more than Wolverine’s “She Hulk,” she’s actually a pretty interesting character. My only problem is with her face. She’s the genetic clone of Wolverine, who looks like Clint Eastwood’s more grizzled brother, so why is she so damn pretty? Even in the comics, she’s got a rough look, kind of like a young Carrie-Ann Moss, so this bow-lipped cutie-pie seems a little off.

Her music is dangerously close to Roll Casket territory.
