It was only two days ago that I wrote about the various pre-order extras that different retailers are offering for Champions Online.  In that article, I jokingly posited that the "Lil' Champ" bonus being offered by Best Buy might be, in fact, a midget who fights by your side.

Oh my God, I might have been right.

In a bid to get people to sign up for their Champions Online newsletter, Cryptic is offering a free in-game pet to anyone who joins.  The pet is a tiny version of your character, seemingly about two feet tall, who fights by your side and, even more awesomely, "is prone to fits of spontaneous dance."  Technically, the pet character is called an "Action Figure," but come on; a little person is a little person, even in spandex.

We don't know yet if the "Action Figures" are the same as the "Lil' Champ," but we now know that there's at least one way to grab yourself a super-powered Mini-Me.
