I just don’t know what to think about this one.  On one hand, I was a huge Golden Axe fan back in the day, and always used Tyris as my character, so a 3D action title starring the heroine should have me jumping up and down like an idiot.  Not to mention the fact that the trailer, at least graphically, looks pretty nice, with a distinctive “Golden Axe” feel to it.  I even saw one of those little bandits that steals your money in there, which is a definite plus.  On the other hand, the environments look sparse and bland, and the gratuitous butt-shot at 0:45 has me worried that T&A will be more important to the devs than actual gameplay.  Still, I guess it looks decent enough to keep some optimism about the title, which is scheduled for an October 14 release.  Let’s hope that Sega can recapture at least some of the magic of the original.  Let’s also hope that Axe Battler and Gillius Thunderhead are unlockable characters, and that they aren’t wearing as skimpy an outfit as Tyris is.
