Cho Aniki Zero Coming to America

OMFG!

by Veggie Jackson

Prepare yourselves for the gayest thing of all time; Cho Aniki Zero is coming to America!

For those fortunate enough to not be familiar with the game, Cho Aniki Zero is a side-scrolling shooter.  Instead of planes, spacecraft, or adorable moe characters, players control muscular, scantily clad, bald gay dudes who swallow up man protein in order to fire their powerful Men’s Beams.  I shit you not.  It’s pretty much the craziest, gayest game that’s ever come out of Japan, and no one, but no one, thought it would ever make it to American shores.  It’s apparently coming, however, as Aksys Games has announced the PSP title will arrive on North American shores next Spring.  At least they've done it in a classy way;

"Aksys Games, a publisher of interactive entertainment products, proudly brings you this announcement, in exaltation of all that is manly: in spring 2010, Cho Aniki Zero will be oiled up and ready to thrust its way onto your PSP system!"

I’m all for more diverse gaming heroes, including those of different sexual orientation, but perhaps this isn’t exactly the best way to represent homosexuals.  Contrary to the beliefs of some, gay men do not tend to hang out together in speedos seeking to swallow as much man protein as possible.  Couldn’t we, instead, have a game that features a gay protagonist who acts more like a protagonist than a gay guy.  That would go a lot further towards fostering tolerance in the gaming world than a game based on exaggerated, offensive stereotypes.

As I understand it, though, gay men do love to fly around blasting floating heads, so at least that’s accurate.

Here's a few pictures so you'll know what to expect; no one should have to walk into a game like this unprepared.

    NOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!

    I remember when I first saw this on X-Play back in the day. This looked like a horrible game then, and still looks like a horrible game now. I can't believe that people will be spending money on this.
