Nintendo just refuses to knock it off with the news today.  I mean seriously, I know you had your Fall Media Summit and all, but how about letting someone else take a headline for once?  Anyway, Nintendo announced today that their loyalty club, Club Nintendo, will be coming to North America later this year. 

The club has been the subject of much jealousy here in the States, as American gamers have watched as Japan, England, Italy, Spain, Belgium, and even Australia and South Africa have gotten to be part of the incentive-laden program which rewards Nintendo purchases with exclusive (and often very cool) swag.  The most recent coveted item from the club is the Super Famicom Classic controller for the Wii, available only to members.  In the past, members have had access to such goodies as DS cases shaped like Mario hats, Wario-themed controllers, and even a statue of Link and Epona, so the future should bring a wide variety of exclusive merchandise to our side of the world.

I cannot wait.
