THQ’s apocalyptic action title, Darksiders, has had its release date pushed back, but fortunately, not by much.  Originally set for a New Year’s Day release, the game will now hit North American shelves on January 5, in Europe on the seventh, and Asia on the eighth.  THQ has also launched a new website for the game, which includes a brief trailer and game updates.

Comic book fans all over the world have been eagerly awaiting this game, not necessarily because it looks like a great title, but because they want to see what has been keeping Joe Madureira busy all these years.  “Joe Mad” was an extremely popular comic artist before he left the industry to work on designing Darksiders, so many X-Men and Battle Chasers fans are hoping it was worth it.  We’ll find out in January.
