The newest (and last?) trailer for Donkey Kong Country Returns shows us that the Wii’s newest platformer is about more than just barrels and bananas; it’s also about brutally difficult platforming.

Early review scores are starting to pour in for DKCR, and so far, they’re overwhelmingly positive.  I’m looking forward to the game, but this trailer has me a bit worried that I may not be ready for just how tough it is.  I can handle dying over and over and over in a game like Super Meat Boy, where players can restart levels immediately, but Donkey Kong Country Returns isn’t that kind of game.  I may need to buy a spare Wii remote, just in case I “accidentally” smash one into expensive fragments.
