Among the various announcements about massive RPGs, exclusive DLC and returning classics at Microsoft’s big press conference, we were also treated to some major release date info.  First off, we have confirmation that Fable 2 will launch sometime in October, though no hard date has been announced.  Apparently, the game is already finished, but we won't see it for about three months.   Also, developer/massive superstar Cliffy B announced that Gears of War 2 will be hitting shelves on November 7.

While neither of these announcements should come as any huge surprise, they’re both certainly big announcements that let gamers know just how long they’ll need to wait for some of the 360’s most highly anticipated titles of the year.  Now we wait for August’s release of the Fable 2 mini-games so that once the full game launches, we’ll be paaaaaaaaid!
