A new trailer for Star Wars: The Old Republic emerged at E3 today.  It taqkes place on Alderaan, the adopted home world of Princess Leia.  Featured are Sith warriors, troopers who look a lot like Clone Troopers from Episode III, and a sexy Jedi interloper.  Everyone is fighting very hard.  I wonder if it would make any difference if they knew that in a few short millennia, the planet they’re willing to die to protect/conquer will be little more than a lot of space dust and a few chunks of Jimmy Smits.

Sadly, no gameplay is present here, but MMO gameplay makes for boring trailers, so that makes sense.  The CG battles we do see, however, are as awesome as we’ve come to expect from tOR trailers.  Seriously, great job.  I’d much rather watch two hours of this stuff than any of the prequel movies.
