EA to Publish Star Wars: The Old Republic
LucasArts Hands Off Pulishing Duties For MMO

At an EA Games showcase last night, Ray Muzyka, co-founder of BioWare, announced that EA will be handing over many of the publishing duties for Star Wars: The Old Republic to EA. According to a press release, "certain publishing, marketing and distribution responsibilities previously designated to LucasArts will shift to EA, so that all publishing, marketing and distribution responsibilities can be centralized for efficiency.”
Muzyka assured gamers that the change won’t be obvious to players, and that the consolidation of responsibilities will eventually help gamers. It would have been nice if he told us when to expect the EA-published MMO, but sadly, that information remains as elusive as a rocket-firing Boba Fett figure.
