Eidos Details Tomb Raider: Underworld DLC
Release Dates, Contents, Other Stuff
Amidst all the talk of rebooting the Tomb Raider franchise, Eidos is still showing some love to its current Lara Croft offering, Tomb Raider: Underworld. In a press release today, Eidos announced that TR:U will be getting its first downloadable content pack on February 10, followed by a second on March 10. The first DLC pack, entitled Beneath the Ashes, will take Lara back to the ruins of Croft Manor to explore a hidden network of caves and tunnels. Six new costumes for Lara are included, as well as an additional 125 Achievement points. In March, expect the second pack, entitled Lara’s Shadow, to offer a similar package of new gameplay, costumes and Achievements.
As of right now, both content packs are exclusive to the Xbox 360. No price has been announced for the download, but the retail box, which seems to include redemption cards for both packs, is listed by GameStop at $19.95. No word on a possible PS3 version in the future, but we're waiting for word back from and Eidos rep on that question, as well as some clairification on what exactly constitutes a "costume." In Lara's case, I say two Band-Aids and an eye patch should count, but that could just be me.
