Mickey Mouse and the Disney “Universe” have always been focused on a childlike sense of wonder and joy.  Unlike other cartoon realities, Disney’s Magic Kingdom is always PG, never mean spirited, and full of what can only be described as “Disney Magic.”  It’s surprising, then, that in this dev diary video for Epic Mickey, the most joyful, charming, and childlike aspect isn’t Mickey, Donald, or Goofy; it’s Warren Spector.

Spector’s pure sense of glee at the reality of working in the Disney Universe is unmistakable, and while there’s plenty of cool content to see in the character video, his beaming face is the real show stealer.  From all indications, the game looks fantastic, so there’s a good reason for his happiness. If Epic Mickey can capture one tenth of the excitement that Warren Spector feels about it, it should be one of the best games of the year.
