ESRB Leaks NBA Jam for Xbox 360, PS3

The announcement that EA would be reviving the NBA Jam franchise was thrilling news to me.  The only downside, in fact, was the fact that the game would only be coming to the Wii, meaning we'd never see a new NBA Jam in full HD glory (or be able to play it with a "Real" game controller).  While rumors have persisted about the game being brought to multiple consoles, including some quickly retracted statements on one of EA's software engineers LinkedIn accounts, EA has remained silent.  Today, the ESRB ruined EA's plan of pretending the game will be Wii-exclusive, and listed their ratings for the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions.

While the ESRB has, on occasion, listed games incorrectly, a listing by the ratings board is usually a pretty good indicator that it does, in fact, exist.  The listing has been pulled, but between the ESRB's post and a listing by Germany's ratings board, the USK, it looks like NBA Jam will be on both hi-def consoles.  EA has yet to comment, though we expect some sort of announcement soon.  There is no release date for the 360/PS3 versions, but the Wii version is scheduled for an October 5 release date.

Well that'll save me some money when the Wii edition comes out.

I don't know many people that care as little about basketball as I do, but I'm getting this Day 1.
