*UPDATED* - ESRB Rates Marvel Vs. Capcom 2 For HD Consoles
Classic Fighter Finally Coming To PS3, Xbox 360
So you’re looking to buy a copy of Marvel Vs. Capcom 2, one of the greatest 2D fighters of all time, but you don’t want to spend upwards of $70 on a game for an outdated system like the PS2, Xbox or (shudder) Dreamcast. Short of ponying up $2,000 for an arcade cabinet, you aren’t left with a whole lot of options. Luckily, Capcom knows that we love this game, and that we’ll be willing to pay for a good version of it with online play and HD graphics. As pointed out to Joystiq by a NeoGaf message board poster, the ESRB has rated a version of the classic fighter for the Xbox 360 and PS3.
Most likely, these will be downloadable versions to be played over Xbox Live and the PlayStation Network, meaning that online head to head matches will be a huge part of the experience. So let’s see who’s happy about this. Capcom, because they basically get to print their own money, the fans, because we get to abuse the Viper Beam again, and Mad Catz, because we can expect arcade-style joysticks to start flying off the shelves again. Win-win-win...for the win.
*UPDATE* - After checking the ESRB's site, we are unable to find the listing for Marvel Capcom 2. This listing here:

Yeah, it's no longer there. Not that there's no mention of the new consoles; it's just gone. Completely. Does this mean the listing was incorrect? Could be, or maybe they put it up before Capcom wanted them to, aqnd it's been since pulled. We'll keep you updated on this potentially disappointing development.

I will be downloading this and it will tide me over until Street Fighter 4 comes out, next February.
I still play this on my Dreamcast all the time.
What the hell do you have against the DC? It was a great system!
Veggie loves the Dreamcast, he's just trying to go against the grain of unanimous DC love in the gaming community. He's always trying to be the outsider.
Also: Yay.
Yeah, its only cool to love the dreamcast if nobody else does....
