Fight Night Round 4 Demo Codes Arrive Today
A Little Notice Next Time, Maybe?

With British pre-order customers getting their hands on the Fight Night Round 4 demo two weeks early, we contacted several GameStop locations to try to find out when American gamers could expect a taste of EA’s upcoming boxing title. As it turns out, GameStop will be issuing demo codes for the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions today, at approximately 2:00 PM, Eastern Time.
For those of us who pre-ordered the game in a GameStop store, we simply need to stop in and pick up the redeem code. Online pre-orderers have it even easier; the codes should arrive via email a little bit later today.
I’m thrilled to get my hands on one of my most anticipated games of the year, but I find it a bit strange that neither GameStop nor EA have publicized this at all. The fact that the demo will be released early for pre-orderers is listed on the site, but even today, the day when the codes are to be distributed, it lists it with no specific date, stating only that the demo would be available “2 weeks prior to the demo’s general release in early summer 2009.” I understand the logic behind incentivizing pre-orders, but to do so without making it known seems like a waste.
Regardless, I now know what the rest of my week will consist of; beating the ever-loving crap out of Ricky Hatton.
