Final Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 Characters Named

One At 1080p, Three At 480i

by Veggie Jackson

Despite their absence at PAX, Activision decided to announce the (presumably) final playable character in the upcoming Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2.  And who is that final character?  Well, that depends on the system for which you buy it.  PS3 and Xbox 360 owners will get Iceman, while Wii, PS2, and PSP owners score three final characters; Cyclops, Psylocke, and Blade.

All four characters have appeared in the series before, with the three X-Men going all the way back to the first X-Men Legends.  I’m not quite sure why the less powerful systems get a significantly cooler roster than the “real” versions, but some would argue that the same happened in the last game.  The PSP version of MUA got more exclusive characters than the big guys: Captain Marvel, Black Widow, Ronin, and Hawkeye, instead of Colossus and Moon Knight.

With the roster now final, Gamervison will be announcing the winner of the Gamervision’s Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 Contest later this Labor Day weekend.  Once we tally the results, we’ll let you know who will be receiving a copy of Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2.  The game hits the streets September 15.

Well... at least all of the characters will probably be DLC. So weird that the PSP version got the most exclusive characters.

The fact that so many X-Men found their way into a game based on a story arc where they claimed neutrality is nigh proof positive the designers just crammed in characters they already had the code and assets for.
    AM DISAPPOINT :(
