Firewalker DLC For Mass Effect 2 Detailed

More Like "FireHoverer," But Whatever

by Veggie Jackson

Mass Effect 2 is superior to Mass Effect in almost every way.  You can debate amongst yourselves whether Wrex was cooler than Grunt, but when it comes to gamplay, visuals, and story, it’s pretty much unanimous.  Even the DLC has been improved, and the next piece of content will help make that even more clear.  BioWare has given details  about the next DLC pack, called “Firewalker.”  In addition to including new missions, which likely include some sort of "fire" to be "walked" on, the pack will come with the Hammerhead vehicle which replaces the much-maligned Mako from the first game.  I don’t know how well the Hammerhead handles, but I can guarantee you that it’s an upgrade over that awful shoebox with wheels.

“Firewalker” will be available, for free, through the Cerberus Network, meaning that it’s technically part of EA’s “Project $10.”  The five new missions the pack includes will all utilize the Hammerhead, which is described as a “heavy assault vehicle that hovers over the battlefield at up to 120 kilometers per hour [75 mph] and features a guided missile system” and “have a bit of a different control scheme (than the Mako)"  So yeah, big improvement.  “Firewalker” will be available some time in late March, assuming the Reapers don't kill everyone first.

This sounds awesome. I'm loving their approach to DLC so far, since I need a break inbetween playing NONFUCKINGSTOP.
