Pretty much since the release of EA’s excellent boxing simulator, Fight Night Round 3, we’ve been wondering what its inevitable sequel, Fight Night Round 4, would bring to the table.  Then we heard that the development team that built Round 3, EA Chicago, had been don away with, and we were sad.  Then we heard that the game would still be coming out, but not from the same people, and we were relieved, but also concerned.  Today, thanks to the Gamestop Expo and some extremely foolish brave Gamestop employee who decided that footage was more important than job security, we have a nice bit of footage explaining some of the upcoming release’s new features.  Take a look.

I can safely and happily say that I am once again excited and optimistic about this game.  Everything that the voice-over describes about the previous title was an issue I was hoping they’d change, and it looks like they really have addressed them.  The video quality is obviously less than perfect, but you can still get a decent look at the game’s animations and character models, and both look great.  Nothing even remotely resembling a release date has been mentioned, but we’ll definitely be keeping an eye on the game, and updating you as we get more info.  In the meantime, watch he video a few more times before it inevitably gets pulled by EA.
