Last time around, it took just short of forever for Activision to unveil DLC packs for the original Marvel Ultimate Alliance.  It seems they’ve sped up the pace considerably for the sequel, though, as Activision has released a series of images and a video of the first DLC character to be announced, Carnage.

For those unfamiliar with Carnage, he is an alien symbiote, just like the one that comprises half of Venom, who has bonded to a remorseless sociopathic serial killer named Cletus Kasady.  He generally appears as a Spider-Man villain, and is one of the most popular (and also most reviled) characters to come out of the 1990s.

Personally, I’m not a huge fan of the character.  In fact, my feelings echo those of the Sentry, as seen here.  There are plenty of other Marvel heroes who should have been included before adding yet another irredeemable villain to the mix.  I do have to admit, though; his screen shots look pretty cool.
