Free DLC Packs Coming to Fight Night Round 4
This Is Where I Complain About Free Things

The first two DLC packs for EA’s Fight Night Round 4 have been announced, and while neither one is exactly chock full of exciting content, they’ll both be free. Sadly, though, one of them may destroy my career as an online pugilist.
“By early August,” we should be getting our hands on a DLC pack that includes a new training gym, new gameplay sliders that affect things like punch accuracy and length of opportunity for counter-punching, as well new equipment with which to outfit your boxers. It will also feature an alternate, Pizza Hut-sponsored version of Sugar Ray Leonard, for people who are into that sort of thing.
The following month will see a DLC pack that brings face-button punch control back to the game. I know a lot of people miss the simpler, button-based controls that were selectable in previous Fight Night games, but to me, the game should be all about the analog sticks. In fact, I worry that the button-based controls will ruin online play. In Fight Night Round 3, it was nearly impossible for a skilled analog fighter to beat a button-presser online due to the button-scheme’s quicker combos. Hopefully, the button-scheme will be an offline only feature, or else my bid for the World Championship is finished.
