Ghostbusters PS3 Patch Fixes Visuals
Like A Big Bucket Of Extra Pixels

The Playstation 3 version of Ghostbusters: The Video Game was clearly visually lacking when put up against its Xbox 360 counterpart. In fact, even the game’s developer, Terminal Reality, admitted that the Sony version is rendered at about 75% the resolution of the Microsoft release. They also threw in some technical mumbo jumbo, blaming “Quincunx anti-aliasing” for the softer, less striking visuals. Now, they are ready to bring PS3 players up to speed by patching the gimped version of the game.
According to Atari, the patch will "increase in resolution to match that of Xbox 360,” as well as fix several localization and Trophy issues. Surprisingly, Atari has also stated that the patch is currently available. As in right now.
Ghostbusters is a very good game, and a fantastic Ghostbusters experience that really captures the feel of the movies. It’s good to see that PS3 players can now get the same experience that Xbox users have had for a couple months, and heartening to see Atari supporting their product. Now how about some DLC that isn’t profile pictures?
