Goro, Jade Coming to Mortal Kombat

Xbox 360 Exclusive Character Considered

by Veggie Jackson

It’s been a while since we’ve heard anything about this year’s upcoming Mortal Kombat reboot, but the latest issue of Game Informer apparently contains some new info.  According to the magazine, Goro and Jade will be joining the cast of over-the-top fighters.

If you’ve ever played any of the Mortal Kombat games, you probably know who Goro is.  For the uninitiated, he’s the four-armed boss character who, in the original game, was rendered in stop-motion clay animation.    Jade is the green female ninja who first appeared as a secret, non-playable character in Mortal Kombat II, and was first playable in Ultimate Mortal Kombat III.  Some may remember her as “the black chick” or “The girl that just won’t stop screaming.”

Game Informer also reports that Ed Boon wants to include an exclusive ckharacter for the Xbox 360 version of the game, just like the PS3 version’s inclusion of Kratos.  From the get-go, I’ve said that Marcus Fenix would be a perfect fit for the MK universe, but now I’m starting to think I may have a better pick; Super Meat Boy.
