Level 5 Will “Shock” Us On Sept. 26
“A Game Revolution Is Beginning,” Apparently
The latest issue of Famitsu makes mention of a press conference to be held on September 26 by Level-5, developer an publisher of the standout DS title, Professor Layton and the Curious Village. The presser will be known as “Level-5 Vision 2008,” and is carrying the slogan “A game revolution is beginning […] Wait for shocking announcements from Level-5!” Shocking announcement, you say? If it’s a sequel to Layton, I wouldn’t call it shocking. I’d call it wonderful news, because I was absolutely entranced by the original, but a sequel’s already out in Japan, so that wouldn’t be all that shocking. A Professor Layton FPS? That would be more confusing and unsettling. The Professor and his boy assistant Luke in a torrid love scandal would be shocking, but also repugnant and upsetting.
So maybe it has nothing to do with Layton. Perhaps a new Dark Cloud game is in the works, or a Rogue Galaxy sequel. Both of those would be welcome news, but not particularly shocking. What do you think? I know we’ll all find out in only eight short days, but I’ve never turned down an opportunity to stir up some blind speculation, and I ain’t about to start now. So just how is Level-5 going to deliver (from dictionary.com) “a sudden or violent disturbance of the mind, emotions, or sensibilities?”

I'd be thrilled with a new Layton game in North America, or maybe a North American release date for White Knight Story. Who knows, but Level-5 makes awesome games, so whatever it is, it's probably good news.
well there were rumors about a month or two ago that level -5 was working on a PS3 Exclusive Dark Cloud 3. I would really dig that, a Rogue Galaxy sequel, or both!!! And a NA release date i would hope is coming soon now that the JPN release date has been set.
I would suspect though it in not a WKC release date for NA as that would not SHOCK the world, i mean it would own but it really would not be a shock. I truly believe it will be some new games, possibly Dark Cloud 3, Rogue Galaxy 2 or a Professor Layton sequel.
This is exciting news for anyone that likes what Level 5 makes. (ME!)
I'd be shocked to see the two new Laytons making their way stateside this year. Actually, not shocked, but maybe if I say I will be they will do it. Eh?
If we're taking a vote, put me down for Rogue Galaxy!
