LittleBigPlanet Has a New Release Date
Well, A Release Week, Anyway

After all of today’s crazy-ass news regarding the LittleBigPlanet delay, the one question everyone is asking is “when will we get to play?” From all indications, it seems that in order to remedy the situation, Sony will need to recall all the existing copies, physically open the cases, remove and discard the discs, burn new discs without the offending song, print new box art that exclusively states that this is a new version of the game, repackage everything, then reship all two million plus copies back to retailers. That could take just short of forever. Or two weeks.
Sony has announced, via its PlayStation Blog, that they will be shipping the game the week of October 27.
“We will begin shipping LittleBigPlanet to retail in North America the week of October 27th. Sorry for the delay, and rest assured, we are doing everything we can to get LittleBigPlanet to you as soon as possible.”
The game’s original release date was October 21, so this is a two week delay at the most; far shorter than many of us expected. How is Sony going to do this? We have no idea. In fact, it almost seem impossible. Perhaps they’ll just ship every copy with a guy who screams “LA LA LA, I CAN’T HEAR YOU!” whenever the song plays. That’s my guess, and I’m pretty sure it’s right.

I don't want to say best news ever, but... best news ever?
I'm glad that we still have a date for this month, to say the least.
ah nice.. still lame
That sucks...so now that week i have to manage my time between 2 big games, Fallout 3 and LBP. what's a gamer to do??
i bet Sony got so much shit from the community, no way they could let this slip more than a week
That's not too bad, if they can pull it off.
Reminds me of when they censored the South Park episode haha. I can only imagine the backlash they would get for releasing it, but imagine how much it has to suck for that artist's song to be cut from the most anticipated game for PS3.
As far as "offensive" religious content goes, I really live by the "GTA" playbook. Either everything's game, or nothing.
