LucasArts Confirms Two New Star Wars Titles
The Clone Wars Will Play Out on Wii, DS
In an interview with VentureBeat, LucasArts has confirmed that two new titles based on the upcoming Cartoon Network series, Star Wars: The Clone Wars, will be coming to Nintendo's Wii and DS consoles. The games, subtitled Lightsaber Duels and Jedi Alliance, respectively, will be playable at July's E3 expo and San Diego Comic-Con. The article also addresses the recent layoffs at LucasArts, stating that they have not affected any game's development. In addition, there is a tentative list of the company's slate of upcoming games, which includes Star Wars: Battlefront 3, KotOR 3 and a sequel to Lego Indiana Jones.

This is all excellent news for those of us who were concerned about the future of LucasArts' games division after all the recent rumors of doom and gloom. Happy to see Battlefront 3 still on that list, ecstatic to see KotOR 3.

I don't know about these tie-in games, but I'm stoked for the Clone Wars flick and subsequent TV series. 3-D Tartakovsky? Yes please.
@00.19: i thought i had heard that tartakovsky is not involved with the film or the new series. certainly the animation style does differ a bit from the original show. doesn't mean i won't be waiting in line with the rest of the fanboys though!
I am not seeing Tartakovsky's name in the imdb listing for the movie...
meh. sounds like star wars shovelware to me.
haterbot!
I am just happy they finally confirmed kotor 3
so they're really going to develop an entire sequel for lego indiana jones with assuming just the new movie? other than that this is good news.
I'm excited for the film but have to agree that I'm not looking forward to the games. The series will hopefully be good. It has a lot to not screw up.
Hmm another KotOR sounds pretty fun.
