Microsoft Announces “Football Fanfare” Channel
I Wonder What This Is In Regards To

Every year this happens. In late January, I start hearing radio commercials and seeing print ads for “The Big Game.” No one ever specifies what this game is, but everyone seems to want to promote themselves around it. Why so shy, people? Just tell us the game you’re talking about and we’ll give it a look.
This time it’s Microsoft urging us to check out their big game celebration. Apparently, Xbox Live is gearing up for this “Big Game” with a whole day’s worth of special football-themed programming and extras, called the Football Fanfare Channel.. Take a look at the press release and you tell me if you can figure out what they’re talking about.
“Turn your living room into the gridiron this Sunday, with Xbox LIVE’s “Football Fanfare”
The game clock only lasts 60 minutes, but we all know the big game is a day-long affair. That’s why all day Sunday, Xbox LIVE will feature a special “Football Fanfare” channel, featuring dozens of the hottest football-themed movies, TV shows and more.
With favorites like Any Given Sunday and Leatherheads, NBC’s hit series Friday Night Lights, and the latest tips and tricks for “Madden NFL ‘09,” Xbox LIVE has you everything you need to create your own pre-game, post-game, and half-time shows – right in your living room! So dish up the hot wings and nachos, and meet your friends on Xbox LIVE this Sunday.”
Well, I’m at a loss. It doesn’t really matter, though; I’ll be too busy watching the Super Bowl.
