Microsoft Not Planning HD Remakes
Sorry, Crimson Skies

Sony has made a lot of gamers happy with their strategy of releasing their last-generation titles on the PS3 with updated HD graphics. The God of War Collection was a big hit, and Sly Cooper and Ico/Shadow of the Colossus promise to be just as successful. Microsoft’s previous generation offerings aren’t quite as robust as Sony’s, but there’s definitely some good stuff out there that’s in need of an HD remake. Logic dictates that, eventually, Microsoft should take the same approach to their library of older games. Unfortunately, they apparently have no plans to do so.
In an interview with IGN, Microsoft Game Studios corporate VP Phil Spencer stated, “We obviously have a lot of new things going on, so the thought of re-doing a bunch of things is probably difficult to just weave into the overall portfolio. If you can provide real value to the customer, there could be possibilities for that, but I don't spend a lot of time thinking about it."
With the Xbox Live Arcade, Games on Demand, and the Indie game marketplace, Microsoft has done a great job of expanding the gaming market this console generation. Ignoring this popular new trend seems like a missed opportunity, though, and I’m hopeful that once the Kinect is launched, MS will get back to focusing on games, and realize that this would not only be a goldmine for them, but a great way for gamers to enjoy titles they may have missed the first time around.

I wonder if this is a true never, or a "we're not revealing anything at this time" never.
Aww...I'd love to see a Fable I remake with Fable III mechanics.
