Microsoft Rumor

Doing "Something" For Inconvenienced XBL Gold Members

by Veggie Jackson

So you got Call of Duty 4 for Christmas.  In between family responsibilities, work and other such nonsense you crammed in enough play hours to beat the campaign mode.  Once the chaos of Christmas ended, you finally got the chance to test your mettle online.  Then, instead of multiplayer happiness, you get to watch “Balancing teams” and "Game about to start” hang on your screen indefinitely.  Total screwjob, right?  Well, good news.  For those of us that have had issues connecting to Xbox Live recently, there may be compensation on the way.

No need to resort to this.

Bitbag.com is reporting that a source at Microsoft stated “…we will definitely be doing something for our Gold members that weren’t able to get online over the last week.”  No idea as to what the recompense might be, nor how MS will determine who exactly wasn’t “able to get online over the last week.” (I could get on, but lost connection repeatedly and couldn’t play certain games…does that count?), but at least they’re recognizing the problem.  If you ask me, 80,000 Microsoft Points should just about cover it.

oh i hope 80,000 points will be the reward for those of us that had a hard time logging in!!! even if i only had the problem once or twice...i would even settle for 20,000.

...and that picture brings a tear to my eye :(
