Molyneux on Fable III Co-op: "I Heard You"
Next Installment to Feature More Robust 2-Player Mode

As cool as it was to jump into a friend's game of Fable II as a nameless henchman, the experience felt a little shallow. What we really wanted was to bring our character into a friend’s game, complete with all their weapons, armor, spells, and even their dog. That we, we can feel a sense of personal satisfaction when we destroy our friends’ virtual families, cities, and reputations. Fortunately, it sounds like Peter Molyneux has been listening, and Fable III should give us all the co-op goodness we missed out on last time around.
In an interview with the 1UP Podcast crew, the opinionated game maker stated that "I heard you all about co-op. You want to have your own hero come into the world. Okay, fine, you can have that definitely,” adding, "When you come into my world, you come in as your hero, with your dog, with all your unique weapons, self-crafted weapons. I heard you -- you don't wanna be tied to my camera, you wanna go off and do your own thing in my world. Fine, fair enough."
Molyneux also mentioned that the game’s touch functionality will work between co-op player, as well. This will allow players to hold hands, drag their partners, or even presumably do something interesting, which neither of those are. Of course, this IS Peter Molyneux, so we should all take this with a grain of salt. Maybe take that grain of salt with its own grain of salt, because that guy tends to just say whatever fool thing pops in his head.
Comments
If Molyneux does listen to gamers regarding co-op, that can be vastly improved in Fable III. Fable II's co-op was a bit lackluster, the camera control was a big issue for me, and I certainly didn't care for jumping into another game as a nameless nobody.
this is great announcement , the fable 2 co-op was terrible.
I still think that he's lying and that it's going to be changed a few times until there's nothing left of it.
