Motorstorm 2 Trailer

Doesn't Resemble Actual Gameplay At All!

by Veggie Jackson

Last year’s PS3 hit, Motorstorm, was a high-octane thrill ride that showcased the awesome graphical power of the PS3 like no game before it. Sadly, it was also something of a shallow experience, leading many to think of it as one third of a great racing game.  Last fall, a sequel was quietly announced, but since then we’ve seen very little about it.  Today, however, brings us a new trailer for Motorstorm 2 that shows no real gameplay (I assume.  Unless this game is set for release in 2035), but instead teases some new wrinkles to the old formula.  The locale seems vastly different, eschewing the muddy desert setting for something significantly more tropical, and the inclusion of monster trucks present an intriguing new facet.  More importantly, Sony promises 4-player split-screen action: something that was sorely missed in the original.  Check out the video, then close your eyes and imagine the actual gameplay, because this an’t close to what it will actually look like.

What's with all the tropical games lately? Still I'm curious. Seems like it could add a little something.

If a trailer doesn't include actual gameplay, then it's not a trailer. It's a waste of time.
