Namco Bandai Addressing Tekken 6 Online Problems
At Some Point in the Future

Are you tired of losing online matches in Tekken 6 because of lag? I know I am. I’d like to start losing because I suck at it. Namco Bandai agrees, and has issued a press release stating that the game’s numerous online problems, including the aforementioned game-ruining lag and sudden game-stopping disconnects will be addressed by an online patch “as soon as it has passed rigorous testing procedures.”
Sadly, the very brief press release gives no actual date for this downloadable update which will “improve the online game experience for players of TEKKEN® 6.” It does, however, clarify that “this is separate from the online co-op Scenario Campaign mode update which is scheduled for release this winter.”
I hope the update comes soon, because I honestly can’t tell if I’m really, REALLY terrible at the game, or if it’s because of the lag, and I’m actually only really terrible. Maybe they’ll release a patch to fix my pitiful reflexes. Probably not.
Press release follows.
To improve the online game experience for players of TEKKEN® 6, NAMCO BANDAI Games is developing a downloadable update which will be available as soon as it has passed rigorous testing procedures. More details regarding the content of the update and the timing of its release will be announced shortly. This is separate from the online co-op Scenario Campaign mode update which is scheduled for release this winter. Thanks for playing TEKKEN 6, and keep on fighting. - NBGA PR
