Major Nelson’s blog announced today that the NBA Live 10 demo has gone live on Xbox Live.  The demo allows players to play one half of last year’s NBA Finals, between the LA Lakers and Orlando Magic. 

The demo promises “playoff atmosphere basketball with a high intensity crowd,” and uses “the latest player tendencies and stats, powered by Dynamic DNA, to bring your game to the next level.”

Last year’s NBA Live game made great strides towards matching Sega’s NBA 2K series in terms of quality.  Some reviewers, in fact, actually liked EA’s b-ball experience better than 2K’s.  Hopefully, EA Sports’ hot streak (Fight Night 4, Madden 10, NHL 10) continues with their hoops offering, and fans have two excellent NBA titles to choose from.
