New Beyond Good & Evil HD Trailer
Just As Great As You Remember, But Prettier
The new trend of remaking classic titles in HD is one I’m firmly behind. The God of War Collection is the best way to experience two of the best games of the PS2 era, and the Sly Cooper Collection introduced a largely forgotten series to a whole new generation of gamers. 2011 will see plenty more classic titles get the HD treatment, including three Splinter Cell games, Ico, and Shadow of the Colossus. One of the most anticipated remakes of the year is Beyond Good & Evil HD, and a new trailer for the game has just been released.
While I’d rather see some gameplay from the upcoming Beyond Good & Evil 2, the HD remake of the original looks great. The graphical upgrade is obvious in this footage, showing a better-looking Jade and Pey’J than the PS2 could have ever rendered. This remake is even more exciting than the PS3 Classics Collection, because it will be available on both the PS3 and Xbox 360. If you haven’t played Beyond Good & Evil before, you pretty much HAVE to buy this version to see what all the hype is about. If you have played the game, you’ll probably be buying the HD version anyway, either to relive one of the most unforgettable gaming experiences ever, or to send a message to Ubisoft that we desperately want a sequel.
