EA Sports has released the first video for their upcoming tennis game, Grand Slam Tennis.  While the video doesn’t give much as far as gameplay detail, it does show a decent variety of stylized character models in action.  Take a look.

Touting match-ups between “The Stars of Today,” and the “Greatest Players of All Time,” the video gives us our first looks at the game’s renditions of  Pete Sampras, Rafael Nadal, Boris Becker, Andy Roddick, Roger Federer and Stefan Edberg, among others.  It also mentions that the proceedings will take place in the crown jewel of the sport, Wimbledon, and will make use of the Wii Motion Plus attachment.  The game is due out on June 18, so we’ll have to wait until then to see if EA can successfully face off against perennial tennis powers, Sega and 2K.
