New Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 Trailer
This One's Got Things To See!
The Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2: Fusion trailer that Activision showed at their E3-adjacent event was less than informative. In fact, it showed us pretty much nothing except for the fact that Daredevil will be in the game. Well, Comic-Con is this week, and apparently, Activision felt they needed to step up their game, and therefore released this new trailer:
Okay, that’s a little more like it. Not only do we get to see some game footage, we also get confirmation on Luke Cage and the Fantastic Four as playable characters. There’s even a few examples of the power fusions that the game seems to be focusing on, like Hulk and Wolverine teaming up for a modified “Fastball Special,” and Thing and Human Torch teaming up to … do something. From this footage, the character models look to be vastly improved over the previous game’s bump-mapped action figures, and there are even some destructible environments.
Activision’s E3-ish event gave almost no details about the game, but since then, there have been a slow trickle of updates, and from everything I’ve heard, the game is in good hands with developer Vicarious Visions. Here’s hoping that the sequel to one of this generation’s best sellers can live up to its legacy as well as fixing the many bugs that plagued the first game.
