New Punch-Out!! Boxer Revealed
He Promises "A TKO From Tokyo"
Nintendo has announced another boxer that will appear in the upcoming Wii boxing title, Punch-Out!!
Ladies and gentlemen, please welcome the former WVBA Minor Circuit Champion…PISTON HONDO!

Wait, Piston Hondo? What happened to Piston Honda? (For that matter, what ever happened to Piston Hurricane? Sorry, I digress.) Yes, Nintendo has changed Piston Honda’s name, presumably to avoid legal issues with both Honda Motor Company and Capcom, owners of the Street Fighter franchise, which includes E. Honda as a playable character. Regardless, this marks Piston Hondao’s first appearance since Mike Tyson’s Punch-Out!!, which was his first appearance anywhere. Sorry Dragon Chan, you’ll just have to wait for Super Punch-Out!! for your turn; we're all full-up on stereotyped Asians for now.
Also, while Nintendo may be worried about infringing on Honda and Capcom, they should be more worried about pissing off Hondo, the cavalry scout portrayed by John Wayne in the 1953 film of the same name. Trust me, Nintendo; that’s one hombre you do not want on your bad side.

Ah...The Duke with the vigor and vitality of a young, fit video game-body.
Chris, what is this world-ending combination you have created?
Honda... I remember our first fight... now I'm going to pay you back. BANZAI!
I actually thought you had a typo with Hondo :) Dragon Chan. Oh this is bringing back the memories.
At least they didn't go with Piston Hyundai.
Nintendo...you are weak. And besides, we already had this character in the original Punch-Out title for the NES.
This place needs more head photoshops, so I approve this message.
Isn't Honda a relatively common name in Japan anyway?
Is this Piston Honda's angrier, meaner twin brother? Look he had himself rendered for modern graphics just to get revenge!
