The Kinect isn’t just bringing controller-free motion controls to the Xbox 360, it’s also bringing a new Xbox Live dashboard to all of Microsoft’s HD consoles, regardless whether or not you actually buy a Kinect.  The Kinect Beta has given some gamers an early look at the new interface, and Modern Prestige has captured it and revealed it to the general public via YouTube.

It’s not a drastic change; mostly new fonts and colors, and the inclusion of the new Xbox 360 “Green ribbons” branding.  Everything looks a bit cleaner, though, and the menu that pos up when the Xbox button is pressed looks especially sleek.  The one issue I have with the redesign is that they’ve replaced the silver globe that filled the bottom of the screen.  Now, instead of a green sky over a silver ball, it’s just a  green-to-silver gradient.  My Xbox 360 dashboard features a massive image of Galactus looming over the “planet”, ready for his next meal.  Without the globe, It just won’t look right.
