New Xbox Experience Missing 1/2 Its Features
Don't Worry, You Won't Miss Them Because You Didn't Know They Existed

Speaking with CVG.com, Microsoft exec Jerry Johnson stated that the upcoming New Xbox Experience is missing about half the features it was originally intended to have. "There's still a lot of stuff we want to do," Johnson said. "Half the things we wanted to do [in NXE] we cut out of the service.”
Fortunately, with the exception of the Primetime channel, which has now been pushed back to Spring 2009, the features that were left out weren’t announced, so we’re not missing anything we thought we’d be getting. Microsoft also plans to update the service with those missing features, meaning that we’ll actually end up benefiting from the exclusions. "One of the nice things we did was this architectural change to make things more published and driven from the service. All of a sudden we opened up the platform to say 'I don't have to wait until once or twice a year to release something onto the dashboard'… There's a Photo Party app that will be part of the platform,….The way it will be distributed is all of a sudden you'll see a slot on the dashboard and if you don't have it you click on it and it's going to download from the service onto your application part of the dashboard. Those are the type of things we're going to start doing.”

Kinda like how microsofts new operating system was missing 1/2 of its usability Ohhhhhhhhhhhh! Snap!
One sentence:
WTF HAPPENED TO YOUR FACE?!
...or another sentence:
WHY WILL YOU NOT LEARN FROM YOUR PAST MISTAKES, MICROSOFT, AND ACTUALLY GIVE THE PEOPLE WHAT THEY WANT AND DESERVE?!
Yes, bring on the dancing tubas we all so desire!
couldnt they just have delayed it a bit to add these features in and make it more robust?
Why even mention you couldn't get everything in? Wouldn't it be better PR to simply state that there is more content coming later? Putting it like he did makes it sound like they half-assed the project.
