At Nintendo's quarterly financial report briefing today, Satoru Iwata confirmed what many Nintendo faithful had suspected and hoped for; Nintendo will unveil the new Zelda Wii game at this year's E3 Expo in June.  No other details were given about the game, but i have a sneaking suspicion that it will involve swords, shields, boomerangs, and a green tunic.

The rest of the briefing, detailed here, is actually pretty interesting; Iwata confirmed a Spring 2010 launch for Metroid: Other M, and a 2010 release for RPG The Last Story, as well as talking about the acceptance of gaming by the general public in both the US and Japan.  But you don't care about that, do you?  You just want Zelda.  Me too.
