Non-profit group sending games to our fighting forces abroad
Hopefully games won’t make them violent
Sgt. Michael Shea may just have the greatest wife in the history of wives. While he’s stuck in Iraq for a second tour, his loving wife Stefanie Doctor Shea is hard at work here in the States making sure that of all the things to die from in that desert, boredom isn’t one of them. She has started a charity group that will send video game consoles and games to Michael and his fellow soldiers. A hardcore gamer herself, Mrs. Shea began the fundraising project with fellow Army wife Blackman Brady to bring some much needed “stress relief and … escapism” to the troops.
Funny, for most of us, this is escapism.
With game systems costing up to $700 and games at $60 a piece, they will need to raise quite a sum to serve the tens of thousands of deployed men and women. The organization has contacted game publishers and console makers to help out, but they still need your contributions to see their vision realized. If you would like to give to this worthwhile cause, you can donate at the "Fun For The Troops" website, found here.

Greatest wife in the history of wives, eh?
Careful, bub!
I said "may just have".
Awesome idea. I did a support a soldier program (sgt. Sam Nam , great guy) and i found out he likes video games. So i sent him some and he told me he loved them. Support the Troops!
