OnLive Announces Open Beta
Play Games All the Way Over There From All The Way Over Here

OnLive, the potentially industry-changing streaming console game service, has announced that it is opening a public beta test. Interested gamers can go to OnLive’s website, answer a few questions about their demographics and internet connection, and sign up for the beta.
Those who are selected will be sent an invite, and after a network performance test, become part of the test group, which will test out the likely buggy, laggy service at some point in the future.
I still don’t know what to think of the OnLive service. If it works, and I mean works, it could indelibly alter the landscape of the gaming world. Of course, it could also end up being a huge flop. Sadly, it could also take a third path; one where it works great, and is quickly forced out of the picture by copycat technologies from Microsoft and/or Sony.
I signed up. Will you?

This is pretty much the definition of a CLOSED beta.
