Original Xbox DLC Back on Xbox Live
It Was Apparently Broken. It Apparently Still Exists.

Apparently, Xbox Live still offers DLC for original Xbox games. Who knew? Yesterday, Microsoft announced that they were working on a fix for unavailable content for original Xbox games. Again, who knew? Today, Major Nelson has declared that the DLC is back, and downloadable by all 34 of you who are still grabbing DLC for Crimson Skies and MechAssault 2.
This handful of gamers better hurry up and download their various maps and bonus levels, because Microsoft will be discontinuing Xbox Live support for original Xbox games on April 15. Plus, players will want to be prepared for Bungie’s farewell event for Halo 2 on April 14, when millions of Spartans will suit up for one last time before saying good bye to Halo 2, and grudgingly buying back the copy of Halo 3 that they traded in two years ago.
Seriously, though, who is still buying Xbox DLC? Anyone who’s still playing Halo 2 online almost certainly has all the maps, and the online populations of Crimson Skies and Rainbow Six: Black Arrow can’t amount to more than a few hundred people. It almost seems silly to fix the system, especially since it has only two months to live. Besides, I’m looking at a list of Xbox DLC and all I see is…wait, KotOR has DLC?!?! I’ll be right back…
