PS3 Modern Warfare 2 Leaderboards Hacked
Scumbags Will Be Scumbags

Hot on the heels of the infamous Javelin glitch, another multiplayer issue has begun to plague Modern Warfare 2’s online community. More specifically, the Playstation 3 version’s online community, has seen a number of players hacking the PlayStation Network to inflate their stats to astronomical proportions. For example, several players are listed as having tens of thousands of days played, despite the game only coming out a few weeks ago.
A quick online search reveals plenty of hacks that allow scumbag players to ruin everything for everybody, most of which involve editing the hex code in save files. I guess that counts as a skill, since, clearly, they can’t call “playing Modern Warfare 2” one of their skills…scumbags.
Hopefully, Sony will respond to this issue more assertively than they did with the Javelin glitch, which they essentially ignored. While that one was understandable, seeing as how it was Infinity Ward’s glitch, and not Sony’s, this one really requires some sort of action from Sony. We’ll wait to see exactly what they do about it, if anything.

Damn, I'm number 3 with 3048 days played. Bastard!
Scumbags. Given Sony's response to major issues *cough pspgoumdrecogntion* I don't expect them to do anything about it.
