With all the different musical instrument games out there, there’s a lot of confusion over which instruments will work with which games.  Will the guitar from Rock Band work with Guitar Hero World Tour?  Will the Ion Drum Kit work with Rock Band 2?  Will the harpsichord from Guitar Hero: Aerosmith work with Rock Band: Tay Zonday? 

Well, wonder no more.  The Guitar Hero team has put together a handy-dandy little chart (actually four little charts) that explains what will work with what.  Take a look:

Two things I noticed: One, that Wii owners are getting completely screwed, with zero cross-company compatibility, and two, they didn’t even bother to include Konami’s feeble entry into the genre, Rock Revolution.  You’d almost think that no one cared about that game.  Almost.
